Bagholder

Bagholder is a trading term that refers to an investor who holds on to a certain Cryptocurrency, even as it decreases in value. The Bagholder is symbolically holding a “Bag of Stock” that eventually becomes worthless. In Crypto, if a trader were to build a large amount of a new altcoin from an ICO, and afterwards that altcoin decreases in value and the investor still does not sell, they may be considered a Bagholder.
