Formerly known as E-coin, Wirexapp is a Bitcoin debit card that combines the best of traditional banking with digital money. The cards are issued worldwide and allow for fast and cheap money transfer. It functions like the traditional debit card, offering convenience to travelers, Bitcoin freelancers, and anyone who wants to keep abreast with their finances in a digital world. Wirex was started in 2014 as E-coin in London before rebranding to Wirex in 2016.The debit card was service was founded by Pavel Matveev, Dmitry Lazarichev and Georgy Sokolov. Wirex provides its users with two types of de4bit cards all backed by Bitcoin. These are a Mastercard with Chip and Pin technology and a Visa car. For both cards, users have the options of selecting the currencies they need to work with, including USD, GBP and EUR. These debit cards are available in over 130 countries.
